The FN America SCAR 15P is a compact 5.56 NATO semi-automatic pistol built around a short-stroke gas piston system. Its 7.5-inch barrel has a 3-prong flash hider, and the non-reciprocating charging handle keeps the support-side profile steady during firing. It has an ambidextrous manual safety and magazine release, a polymer grip and a vertical rear Picatinny rail with a sling attachment point. The overall length is 19.75 inches, and the pistol weighs 5.65 pounds.

Georgia has no permit to purchase, no firearm registration and no state waiting period, and dealers may sell handguns to buyers 21 and older. The compact 7.5-inch barrel and 10+1 capacity suit a buyer who wants a rifle-caliber pistol for range use. The full-length rail is ready for an optic or other accessories, and the package includes one 10-round magazine.
