The FN SCAR 15P is a compact semi-automatic pistol chambered in .300 Blackout. It has a 7.5-inch barrel, a 19-inch overall length and a non-reciprocating charging handle. The FDE/Tan receiver and polymer furniture come with ambidextrous controls and a two-position thumb safety. The pistol is threaded for muzzle devices and has a full-length accessory rail. It ships without sights, and one 30-round steel magazine is included, for 30+1 capacity in the chamber and magazine.

Georgia has no permit to purchase, no firearm registration and no state waiting period, and dealers may sell handguns to buyers 21 and older. The compact 7.5-inch barrel and 30+1 capacity suit a buyer who wants a short .300 Blackout pistol for range use. The optic-ready rail lets the buyer choose the sight, because no sight is fitted at the factory.
