Georgia is a permitless carry state. Since Senate Bill 319 took effect in April 2022, any lawful weapons carrier, meaning an adult who is eligible for a Georgia Weapons Carry License and is not otherwise barred from having a gun, may carry a handgun openly or concealed without a license.
